This is a really interesting piece. I like the shape and the background a lot, however I do not feel they merge very well. The shape seems to be almost floating above the rock, which looks very hard and solid. I think a better way to have done it would be to make the rock seem more like glass, with a shape embedded inside. I mean look at the bubbles rising off the shape; they look like they would be perfect for the idea that the shape was created through some flash-cooling lava, but right now it just looks like a shape... with bubbles coming off it... overlayed on a rock.

Of course how would the shape seem less rocky and more glassy? I think changing the surface cracks would help, as well as creating some shadows through the glass from the shape... not really sure how it'd work...

But regardless, this is a pretty sweet piece that I am glad I had the pleasure of viewing.

Vision : Awesome, like I said, like the idea
Originality: ...this king of abstract wallpaper is pretty frequent, no offense
Technique: Perfect technique as far as creating the shape but merging it with the stone...
Impact: no comment... nice, but not groundbreaking (at least to me)
